Final reflection about the course

In my opinion the English course was fun and useful because I made activities different than any other course, and also it has a full schedule of tasks that demonstrate the individual competence. On the other hand, I would not change anything because I think the subject is complete for the professional development. Finally, my personal assessment is 10 points because I think I did all activities on time, and with the maximum effort demonstrating discipline and consistency.

Final reflection about the course

This course was my first virtual class ever and it was a whole new experience, I learned a lot about being responsible because all works and exams where elaborated on edmodo.

It was also a good experience meeting people because of the project. Some aspects I would improve are the fact that students can't check their mistakes in the quizes and in the other hand the issues about documents permission and also some sending issues, in my case I had to send some activities 3 times.

Final reflection about the course

This course seemed to me a good initiative to understand a little more English at the professional level and continue to refine more the flaws that I have had when it comes to speaking/writing advanced topics in the language.

I liked least was that the Edmodo does not let you see after presenting the quizzes that you see in that you failed and sometimes change the option of an answer.

I would evaluate a 7 or 8 of 10 because although it was virtual, I did not make the effort to be aware of each assignment or simply forgot and it always is in constant improvement to be succesful in a second language without so many obstacles.

Final reflection about the course

I found this course really useful because it gave me many tools to fix some details about my english.

I would change the interaction in the quizzes, after every quiz Edmodo does not show you where have you failed, I think that this is an important element because you need to know your mistakes to be better for the next time you have an evaluation. I feel that I gave my maximum effort this quarter, so I evaluate myself 9/10 because we always have to be better. I managed my group in front of evaluations like the social project and the memo. I also have been really active during the whole term.

Reflection about your Simulation Discussion. What was the hardest part? What was the nicest part?

The most difficult part of doing the social project was to record the scenes and make the arrangement of the video, since it takes time that everything is well. The best part of the social project was the integration of the group, we all got deeply involved, we learned things from each one of us.

Reflection about simulation discussion

The hardest part about  making  the social project was writing the script and to planify the interaction between the students to make it feel like it is real. For the writing we had enough information to develop our ideas and at the end we made a great dialogue. We were inspired by nowaday´s business meetings where some companies use apps like FaceTime or Skype to connect their ideas to co-workers who are in other countries. Another difficult aspect about the dialogue could be the intention that  we we wanted to give a good amount of time for everyone.

The best part about the social project was the fact that we had fun because of our mistakes during the filming. The team has good bloopers to talk about. We also advised to our partners when they needed help or had a doubt about how not forgetting lines or how to have a good interaction with the camera. It was a great experience and we met each other and spent a good time.

Reflection about your Simulation Discussion

Making a Simulation Discution about the project was a great and new experience. The hardest part of it was definitely record it because everyone is shy to speak in public and also it wasn't easy the part of acting, none of us usually record videos. On the other hand we had a good time, we could meet, make jokes and also laugh at ourselves.

Reflection about Simulation Discussion

The most difficult part of doing the project was trying to make the discussion as natural as possible, correctly pronounce each word and try not to have nerves when it comes to rehearsing them. Also in the dialogue part was quite complicated because there was a lot of information about it and we had to choose something according to the current situation. The nicest part was when we started recording and sometimes we forgot to say and we laughed to do it again. The part of the bloopers was the best because sometimes we forgot a line, some action we had to do or a bad word pronounced and we laughed so that we had to do it again until it came out correctly.

Would you use Social Media in your business?

Nowadays, Social Media is a very important tool in every activity that we do. It connects you with the whole world by the power of just one click. I would use it because it gives to my business the power to connect and know the thoughts of the customers, the most valuable people to listen.

Lately, many companies around the World have experienced issues with the management of social media and their employees. Then, I would create policies to keep a control and to avoid problems inside the offices and in the marketing strategies the company would run. One of the policies could be to limit the usage of the social media primarily for employment purposes to the workers. Other policy could be the creation of a social network council that controls all the social media plans that the company has.

Would you use Social Media in your Business?

Currently the vast majority of Internet users actively usea asocial network, so these platforms are an ideal medium to reach thousands of users who can become new costumers. 5 Benefits by wich I would use Social Media in my Business:

1 - Direct communication with customers: Social networks allow you to communicate with customers or potential customers, which is essential since the current consumer demands to be heard.
2 - Greater confidence in the brand: When the brand, product or service has presence in networks and a fluid contact with customers, it is no longer a "distant" business to somehow "humanize" and generate trust in customers.
3 - Higher visibility of a business: As mentioned above, having a presence in social networks is an excellent window to give greater visibility to our product or service, allowing thousands of users to know the brand.
4 - Increased advertising at lower cost: Interaction with customers is fundamental, and this is an ideal medium for advertising because the cost involved is quite lower than compared to traditional channels. Through social networks you can reach more users and perform concrete and exclusive advertising actions for fans of the page, such as gifts, discounts or drawings.
5 - Measure the reach of your brand: Through the contact in social networks with the consumers of the product or service not only we can see what they think of this one but also to know other data through the multiple measurement tools, which will allow to Know if the publications are interesting to the fans and thus Refine the proposals for the target audience.

Social Media in Business can be a fast and effective way to communicate with employees, also it can help people to communicate from anywhere which can help in case of any inconvenient. But as all, it have a negative part, employees can abuse from Social Media wasting time on it decreasing productivity, and sometimes can produce disharmony between employees because of how some people use it.

I would use Social Media in Business but with certain rules like the way it is used and how much time people can spend on it so the company dont decrease productivity.

2 reasons why having a flawless grammar is important in Business English

Having a flawless grammar is important in every aspect, not only in business english, but there we have to be more specific when we write because through a correct gramar we can show professionalism and demostrate how preparate we are for any job we want.

It is important to communicate effectively, you must have a good choice of words;otherwise, communication will be poor and misunderstandings in the oral and written language. Also, unfortunately, business professionals do not take you seriously if you can't communicate. An eloquent person has more chances of getting a job, a contract, generate a good overall impression and be respected as a leader.

What is the hardest part of writing a Résumé?

The hardest part when it comes to write a resume is to pick the experiences which have made an impact in your life and select the charges that have shown you how to grow up as a human being, not simply in a working area, which means, those whose say the best things about yourself as a worker. Especially when you have had many experiences in different jobs with different charges that have taught you various ways to work and how qualified you are to do certain tasks of certain charges.

What is the hardest part of writing a Résumé?

The hardest part of writing a résumé could be wondering about what kind of person the company needs. You have to start analyzing you from other perspective  ,gathering all the things that you manage well and your talents. You need to take your best characteristics that can difference you from others. At the beginning sounds easy, but when you start thinking about it and the pressure rises,  your own mind limits you. The best way to overcome this is being sure of yourself and of your capacities.

Another difficult part is that you have to put a list full of interesting achievements to attract the company. The competition is tough so it is better to have something that may draw their attention.

What is the hardest part of writing a Résumé?

The most difficult aspect of writing a résumé can be getting out of your own head and viewing it the way a recruiter or a hiring team will view it. This piece of communication is the first window into your professional profile that they have and why you are the ideal candidate that they are looking for.

Another aspect very difficult is asked all of the right questions needed to ensure your resume stands out. The only difficult part about working with a resume writer is spending the time to think about all of your achievements for each position.

In fact, you can’t give companies what they are looking for unless you are confident in describing your skills, accomplishments, and experience.
